Look at wincivgo. It has a windows native gui (no gtk). It in

I have seen that leak and I think it is mentioned somewhere (at least
on my webpage which is linked from the windows FAQ).
The same gui code works on linux without memory leak. So the bug is
probably in one of the dlls (probably gdk). As you know much about windows you 
can
try to debug it.
