I had yet another idea for freeciv, and one that I think I might
start working on, if I find the time.

If you remember the Amiga/C64/PC game "Pirates!", it was not
nearly as complex as freeciv. If I could get my hands on
the rules for the game, I am thinking it ought to be
feasible to do a "modpack" for freeciv, and if necessary
modify the ruleset system to enable this.

If anybody could help me gain the rules, or so, I would
be grateful.

Lauri

"The credit belongs to the man in the arena whose face is marred by dust and
sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs, and who comes up short again
and again, who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, and spends
himself in a worthy cause. The man who at best knows the triumph of high
achievement and who at worst, if he fails, fails while daring greatly, so that
his place will never be with those cold timid souls who never knew victory or
defeat." - Theodore Roosevelt
