        We're doing some work with gen_impr as part of the FreecivAC
project (extensions for a SMAC-like mode) at
http://bellatrix.pcl.ox.ac.uk/~stewart/fcindex.html. At present, the only
thing I've added is a test for the EFT_CAPITAL_CITY effect when building a
player's "palace" (since in SMAC it's not a B_PALACE building at all, but
the "Headquarters"). Ultimately, though, the full implementation of
generalized improvements is the only way forward for SMAC...

        I'll try and put a patch for some of this stuff together so that
we don't end up reproducing each other's efforts...

        I think the distinction here is that nukes are enabled when the
Manhattan Project is _built_ - even if the wonder is then destroyed, you
can still build nuclear units. The req_gen solution (what is req_gen
anyway?) implies to me that the units can only be built if the wonder
currently exists.
