In the never-ending array of GUI libraries there's one I think would
make an especially nice fit with freeciv: fltk (http://www.fltk.org).
Some of you may be familiar with it if you have heard of or used flwm, a
window manager written using fltk.

Anyhow the nice thing is that it's also portable to NT/95/98 which means
folks running on this platform could run civclient natively without the
need for a X server.

The downside is that it's a C++ library which means the common library
would have to be wrapperized with extern C declarations.

Any thoughts?
