Option
  - my reaction

1: we have debian/ in the .tar
  - I'm happy for the effort you spare

2: we don't have it in the .tar but we do have it in CVS
  - I'm still happy, but I'll build packages from CVS
    (ie when there's a release, I "cvs update", make a
    tar of it and use it as .orig.gz)

3: there's no debian/ anywhere
  - I'm out. No hard feelings, but I've been trying to quit
    being FreeCiv's maintainer for quite some time, and David's
    idea of having debian/* and something like build.debian in
    CVS were the reasons why I came back. I don't play it a lot
    (and I'm a very poor player, I don't last half an hour
    against an AI) and don't even understand half of it. My fun
    is in coding and helping. So I will find better things to do
    with my time.

Sorry if this sounds a bit harsh, but I hate duplication of
efforts. And I hate when something (seemingly good) is done and
then people decide to undo it.

But (users), please judge your opinion by the options, not by my
reactions.
