"'Cause civilization(s) should be free!" is *not* the standard motto.  The
standard motto is "'Cause civilization should be free!" -- without the
"(s)".  So, there is no "English language trick".

Given no "trick", it boils down to "localizable" -vs- "(subjectively) pretty".
