I don't really recommend Slashcode for this.  Actually, it is hard to
deploy and is somewhat fragile.

Drupal, on the other hand, may do a very good job for what you're
looking at.  You can find it at www.drupal.org.  I run two drupal sites:
www.railpassenger.org and changelog.complete.org.  Other famous Drupal
sites include www.blogforamerica.com.

Yes, with both slashcode and Drupal.
