...and for anyone who is stuck in old DOS (yeah right), there is DJGPP;
which has an excellent set of GNU ports as well. I use DJGPP under windows
too, because it runs much faster than cygwin. Although, I haven't used
cygwin since Beta 19, it used to run somewhat slowly. Ofcourse, you can do
much more with cygwin I guess.
