do you want to give it a try?
i think i can read excel 4.0 and/or 5.0
i thought i had wingz, but at the moment can't get it to start(maybe
that was pht?).
right now i have staroffice and Xesslite.
i prefer the Xess. it runs faster.
it lists it's filters as: xs, xs3, wk1, wk3, wks, & xls.
anyone know what comes stock on a RH 5.2 install as far as spread sheets?

i may have spoken to soon...
i tried pulling up a couple of excel spreadspeets in applixware.
if it
is a spreadsheet with data only it imports okay. however, a spreadsheet
with any vba code, command buttons, or menus doesn't look pretty.
which
begs the question, "what's the point of having an import filter that
doesn't import?"
