Hello, a while back I had winblows95 and Linux existing in harmony on my box.

I decided to drop winblows95 (don't cheer yet) and pick up winblowsNT.

I had been using lilo before and it worked like a champ. However since the
install of winblowsNT, I haven't been in Linux. Shame on me. Today I send
this (hopefully) from Linux. I got back into linux using a emergency floppy
and mounting my root partition. All seems to be working well, and as long as
I don't turn off the computer, I guess all would be fine. But, I will have to
turn it off, so, I need to get things back to where I can dual boot between
Linux and NT.

So far I know I shouldn't put lilo back into the MBR of my NT drive cause NT
will cry about it and not work, not that it does anyway. But I don't follow
the proceedure to put lilo in the MBR of my second drive and then edit the
NT bootloader to include linux.

Anyone up for the challenge?

Below is a copy of what my lilo.conf looks like currently:

boot=/dev/hda
root=/dev/hdb5
compact
install=/boot/boot.b
map=/boot/map
vga=normal

delay=50
image=/vmlinuz
  label=Linux
  read-only
image=/vmlinuz.old
  label=Linux.old
  read-only
other=/dev/hda1
  label=Winblows95

some machine specs:

three drive system: /dev/hda1 being NT
                     /dev/hdb1 (but it calls it 5 for some reason) being Linux
                     /dev/hdb2 (but it calls it 6 I think) Linux swap
                     /dev/hdc1 being old Dos crap
                     /dev/hdd1 CDROM

since I have been in NT I have added a tape colorado tape backup (old 250MB)
it is on the same ribbon as the floppy drive, I am hoping this isn't going
to cause trouble with Linux, even hoping that I can use it via Linux.

changed monitors, however at this point I am not worried, it seems to be doing
well on what I had for settings on the old monitor.

if you need more specs lemme know what ya want and I will try to give as best
as I can.

 tia,
Seth aka spiff
