for starters, O'bewon lost his greatest student to the darkside.
seek yee out the one called Yoda, be warned he's a geek and lives in a place called debian, degoba, or somethinglike that :-).

mounting a dos partition is quick and easy.  add a line to /etc/fstab that reads like line 3 or line 6:

/dev/hda3               /                           ext2    defaults        1 1
/dev/hdb1               /home                   ext2    defaults        1 2
/dev/hda1               /mnt/c:                  vfat    defaults        0 0
/dev/hda2               swap                     swap    defaults        0 0
/dev/hda4               /mnt/app               ext2    defaults        0 0
/dev/fd0                 /mnt/floppy            msdos   noauto          0 0
/dev/hdd                /mnt/cdrom            iso9660 noauto,ro       0 0
none                      /proc                     proc    defaults        0 0
~

try to match the spacing of the existing text.

the run mount /dev/hd??

if you are running redhat, pht, or caldera there is a frontend call fstool.
i just use vi, it's faster.

dosemu works but it's kinda a pain.  you just gotta read the readme's and
howtoo's then work your way thru it.

i've never gotten wine to work at all.  i did have better luck with another project called Twin from Willow Soft.  but it's slooooooooooooooooooooooow.

as you have been told before don't let yourself be tempted by the dark side.
the force will will be stronger if you stick with linux applications.
you will find it is easier to compile your own than to figure out the emu's

Skywalker need's O'beone to help him feel the source. ;- ) Or just help
configure files that I don't understand, wine, accessing my DOS par., make,
and anything else you could think of to help me get a better understanding of
what Linux can do.

Oh I've slipped the surly bonds of dos
and danced the skies on LINUX silvered wings.
