Lots :-)

I recommend minicom.  Other options include seyon, cu, kermit, and more that
I forget at the moment.

I believe Steve already said this, but http://www.aclug.org/ispconn/ is the
closest we come to something comprehensive :-)

The instructions there will get you connected to SouthWind using *any* Linux
distribution.  As such, it will no doubt be more difficult than the options
in many current Linux distributions which have X-based or config scripts to
help set things up -- but it will work.
