Well, I can't compare it to SO4, but it does appear stable after somewhat 
limited use. My one complaint is that it doesn't have filters for reading
Word Perfect files. It does do a respectable job with Word files though.
I think I will adjust to it quite satisfactorily. It is certainly full
featured.
