Just run /sbin/ifconfig and paste in a message the stuff that it spews

OK, in that case, try using an IP URL... ie:

http://206.53.111.225/

You should get a "Complete.Org for older browsers" page, although if
your DNS is broken, the graphics may not load.

If you get this, then it's only a DNS problem.  If you don't get it,
then there's a serious problem.  Try pinging some sites and IP
addresses.  Do you get things back?
