Jeff,

Your first CD device is /dev/scd0 and the second is /dev/scd1.  Your
SCSI hard disks are /dev/hda and /dev/hdb.  Your first partition on
your first drive is /dev/hda1; the second partition on your first
drive, /dev/hda2, etc.

I agree that the Debian install is not as easy as RedHat.  It is all
about tradeoffs, although the Debian Manual can be quite useful, as
can the Users' Guide.

I might note that the Debian install is much more logical and
straightforward than Windows 95, and supports far more installation
mediums and methods.
