Hello fellow Linux'ers,

I need info on the following two cards i bought to use it with my RedHat
5.0 linux machine. I would like to know whether i can make them work
under Linux(RH5.0) and if so how do i go about doing it. Also.. point me
to ftp/web site regarding how can one make a cheap NIC to work with
linux(Detection, configure.. boot-time arguments.. kernel re-building
etc)

Ok here are the cards:

1. D-Link DE-220pct ISA adapter Pnp(Can be truned off)
2.SMC EZ card 10-1660T Isa Adapter Pnp(Can be turned off and be used as
a NE2000 compatible mode)

Are these cards supported??? Any thoughts/ideas would be greatly
appreciated.

If your opinions are not favourable for the above mentioned cards.. what
do you recommend as a Good NIC for linux .. specially RedHat5.0??

I am also looking into another card form SMC.. umm SMC etherexpress i
think.

Please give me your feedback. I would really appreciate it.

Thank you.

Best,

sohel
