OK, check this out (the new prototype ACLUG website):

  http://aclug.notwerk.net/

or

  http://216.171.140.169/

The design of the home page combines the old ACLUG banner (less
black background) with photo.net's 3-column boxed sections. I've
always favored 2-column layouts (left navigation, right content),
but a home page should give you lots of navigation options, and
the 3-column approach is almost canonical for that. The rest of
the pages tend to be stacked in one vertical column: banner,
header, content, footer. (Not much footer yet.) Only one column
saves users from having to wait for </table>.

The first thing everyone should do is to register and log in.
Then play around. Let us know what you think.

For an administration role or a ssh account on the server,
contact John Alexander.
