Well the documentation mentions "python 2.4 or higher"; maybe waiting
for python 2.6 to be distributed as the standard python in mac os x
before reverting the patch would make sense before deprecating 2.4 and
2.5 (which is what it would mean).
OTOH python 2.6 in the official mac os might happen in 2025 or so ...
