OK!   Thanks, Jesse.  The -Uvh  ... --nodeps worked - it 
installed.

Looks like it will take a bit more tweaking - it can't find the 
camera.  Nothing is ever easy, is it?

[root@bertha rpms]# gtkam
gtkam: relocation error: gtkam: undefined symbol: 
gp_camera_set_timeout_funcs
