No.  I'm simply pointing out that the extra RAM is used for 3D texture
buffering, and is never touched in 2D X applications, so is irrelevant
within the context of this specific discussion.

Where it matters is not when telling X how much RAM you have, but in your
OpenGL or other 3D applications (which, to my knowledge, don't care waht
your X configuratin says).
