Dear John:
If you are running KDE, you can right-click on a blank section of
the screen. This should bring up a panel with "Create New" on it. You
can then select "Link to Application". Change the words "Link to
Application" in the dialog box to Netscape7 (or something like that).
Click on the Execute tab and fill in the complete path to the netscape
shell script in the "Command" box (example:
/usr/local/Netscape/bin/netscape.sh ) . Then click OK. KDE should put a
new icon on your desktop you can click on. You can change the icon if you
like when you first create it by clicking on the gear (the default icon).
My version of KDE gives me a huge set of icon choices when I do this. You
can change anything about this new desktop icon by right clicking on the
icon itself and going to "Properties" and fixing what you don't like or
doesn't work.
Hope this helps!
