[linux-help] sendmail setup

I'd like to set up machines on my network to be able to send
mail out through my kscable connection. Can anyone explain how
to do this? (Last time I putzed with sendmail was sufficiently
long ago that I've forgotten everything except how unpleasant
it was.) Thanks.
