I might suggest blackbox.

I've been using this minimal WM quite a bit lately.  It is very 
lightweight, but looks pretty slick when you theme it up with some 
gradients and wallpaper.  It doesn't have many built in "desktop suite" 
options...even the desktop pager "bbpager" is a seperate package.

However, it seems to do pretty well in the system resource department, and 
it is a piece of cake to compile and install.  RPM's 
may be available on the Redhat disks, but I'm not sure about that.
