VMWare is extremely resource hungry.  I wouldn't try
running MS Office apps on a vmware emulated machine
with any machine slower than 450MHz/128MB, and even
then the apps will really drag.  And for CAD purposes?
 I wouldn't count on VMWare to be up to your needs.
