 hi! could someone help? the problem is: i have a linux machine(runs only
linux) and 2 kernels - 2.2.16 and 2.4.0-test8. i compiled the latest
stable 2.4.2 and after that booted into it successfully. but, it does not
detect the eth0 card. and says initialisation delayed/failed. after that,
very interestingly, even the other kernels, which were fine are giving the
same behavoiur. i tried all i could from the docs, like editing
conf.modules etc, to no avail. it does not detect the device. any help
greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.
