The motherboard in my Linux box went south so I bought a used Packard-Bell P100 
with a
2.1GB drive.  When I opened it up, there were two disks - a 1.2GB and an 850MB. 
 Both
Conner.  There is a sticker on the top of each drive saying both drives must be 
used as
a pair.  One is jumpered for master, one for slave.  One of them is going bad - 
I don't
know which one.

Setup had only one drive listed, with a cyl no. a little less than the total of 
the
numbers Conner gives.  I changed setup to the values shown for the two disks 
and dos
still only sees one.  Fdisk sees only one of 2012MB.  Has anyone ever run into a
situation like this?  Splain it to me.
