Hi,
I'm rather new to this group (and freeciv in general).
I've played some of the various civ-games (Civ1,Civ2,Civnet,Civ:CTP)
but never at a high level.

I recently found out about freeciv and read some of the tutorials and
articles with great fun. I also learned about the smallpox strategie
(never thought of that one).

Having tried it, the strategie is not one I would like to play (I'm more
of a citybuilder myself). I also noted that there is still a lot of talk
about changes to discourage smallpox.

Imagine my surprise when I found this:
http://www.freeciv.org/tutorials/nopox.html
artikel at the freeciv site. I looks to me (a newbie) a good way to halt
smallpox. The artikel has been around for a while and the changes that
are discussed in the artikel have been implemented (I think, I saw the
parameters the artikel was referring too).

Is there something wrong with the rule changes noted in the article or
is there another reason smallpox still excists ?

Pieter
