Well I was mostly kidding.  There are only about 5 people on the mailing
list, if I remember correctly, and it would be nice to have a few more. 
But, you're right when you say that we're not ready for a mass influx.  The
code needs reorganization and we ought to get some framework for the map,
units, cities, etc. before anything "big" happens.
