I've seen this, too. It looks as though the connect-with-road code
assumes that the road path needs to = the movement path, which means
that, since the worker can't road the river, it has to take the longer
path. I really don't see much of a problem with this, though. In those
cases it's easy enough to just use goto then start the road from
there.
