It seems that a cruiser with MP left at end of turn does an autoattack
against an enemy unit it sees, if the server option auto attack is on.

Is this a bug or a feature?

Why would it be a bug? Isn't that exactly what autoattack is supposed to do?

Yes. Probably. I was surprised, though.

I don't know. Attacking can be a disadvantage; if attacking is more costly
than being attacked; I don't know what it does exactly.

There was a city option - its gone and it wouldn't apply any more. The
settler has an 'A' command - should it be used a address units I want to
autoattack?

You'd have to take that up with Per. The 'a' behavior of units is gone as well now. I believe it auto-attack is enabled then any unit may auto-attack.

Personally I don't like auto-attack at all.
