This patch applies on /data/default/governments.ruleset and alters the
default ruler titles.
- Despotism becomes King/Queen.
- Monarchy becomes Emperor/Empress
- Anarchy becomes Citizen/Citizen
In the current ruleset, moving from Despotism (Emperor) to Monarchy
(King) feels like a degradation. Linguistically, that is. In reality,
an emperor is ruling a much more advanced form of government, where he
may have several vassal kings below him. In short, King is a weaker
title than Emperor.
The titles for Anarchy is inspired by the French Revolution, where
kings and noblemen suddenly all became "citizens" and equal with
everybody else. This is of course not analogous with the situation in
the game, but I find it quite fitting.
