It's possible that the player-ptr change has changed the way players are
dereferenced in the script.  However tracking down script syntax errors
is nearly impossible.

Until PR#13023, PR#13025, and PR#13038 are fixed there's no point
wasting time writing scripts.  If these can't be fixed for 2.1 then we
should remove scripting for that release.
