Hi,

I bumped into this problem with 2.0.0-beta8-win32-gtk2. I have WinXP
with Finnish locale and plain English version of beta8. Digit grouping
symbol (thousand separator) seems to be the root cause.

In first test Finnish locale was changed to English(UK) (digit
grouping symbol is comma) and everything worked fine. Then locale was
changed back to Finnish and digit grouping symbol from space to comma.
Again everything is working.

I tried to reproduce this problem with Win2000 (5.00.2195, SP4) but
without success. Have you committed buggy_locale.diff to 2.0? I could
not find it from cvs mails.

Also in PR#12394 similar issue is mentioned with Win2000.
