Dang hotmail... Anyway - Seems to me that this ought to be in the View tab
rather than in the local options. Also, if I change the display from full
screen, I still can't see the Windows minimize/maximize/close buttons.

You are in fullscreen mode.
Given the amount of people complaining about fullscreen mode, perhaps it
would be a good idea to disable it by default for Beta 8?
