Ok, hacked around GTK+'s tendencies to focus on the list widget when you
do a tab change. I also modified the selection code so only one list
item can be activated in both lists, simplified the selection saving
code and made the meta list do 5 updates with 1 sec interval instead of
50 updates with 100 msec interval. This shall go in ASAP.
