This is already in RT somewhere.  The LAN tab polls for servers every 
1/10 of a second or so, and every poll overwrites the existing server 
list which destroys the selection.

This is a significant bug but I don't have enough GTK knowledge to fix 
it and nobody else seems to care.

One work-around is to just wait.  After 5-10 seconds the polling stops 
and then you can select properly.  Note also that a single selection is 
enough for things to work.  You can't double-click like you do in the 
other dialog but you can press the "connect" button.
