I just realized that this problem probably occurs because civclient is unable 
to start right civserver, which is in the same directory, 
/usr/local/freeciv/bin, but not on path, while other civserver v.1.14.1 is on 
path.

(I have freeciv 1.14.1 also installed)

Perhaps some kind of error-message could be added to notify user of this 
situation.
