What version of Freeciv are you using?

Can you post a backtrace using gdb of the crash? Can you post the
savegame? This helps us fix the error.

You can try to compile Freeciv using --enable-debug=no to avoid the
assert. It may crash anyway, though.

You can try to edit the savegame and remove any attribute information.
