Which version? If it is CVS, from what day? When did it start happening?

There are a couple of places which could cause the bug, can you specify the
actions you did that caused this to happen?

If you can, please re-run the client like this:
civclient -- --g-fatal-warnings

And get a backtrace of the crash with GDB.
