Presumably the player you received vision from had knowledge of the
whole map. I assume you can only see the terrain, and most of it is
hidden by fog of war?
Because shared vision is transitive, if Ollam Fodla has received shared
vision from other players you'll see this territory as well. So with
just a few exploring units it's easy for such a group of vision-sharers
to explore the whole world.
So I assume this isn't actually a bug. I'm closing the ticket. If this
is in error send a reply and it will be re-opened.
