I guess you have problems with your GTK+ 2.0 font config. It is
interesting how many people who don't use RedHat have these. Geez.
IIRC when I used Debian Potato I had none of these problems either.
The fonts are defined in '/etc/pangox.aliases'.
Most of the people who had problems with this so far usually used unstable
versions of distributions or had package management problems.
Try using the GTK+ 2.0 packages for whichever distribution you have.

I get none of that here.
I need a saved game, step by step reproduction and to know if you are
using HEAD or S1_14.
