You should at least have testgtk installed.
Try using that.

Cannot reproduce. This is likely a GTK+ bug.

GtkTreeView and assorted gubbins had many, many fixes applied over the
course of GTK+ 2.0.x development. Try upgrading to the latest 2.0 version
(i.e. 2.0.9).

I am using 2.2.1.
