You mean GtkTreeView? Yes that is sort of braindead and slow. ;)

There used to be Imlib packages in TML's homepage but I guess he removed
them... He had IIRC to port Imlib to just use Gdk (ugh).
Rasterman used pure X11 in his version and wrapped Gdk around it. Blech.
