The best is that he offers a new version of his code available for
download in a public place where the license is changed to the GPL.
But, I think if you post his email stating that the code is available
under the GPL here, then that should be enough, since that is a statement
by the copyright holder in a public place. It doesn't have much legal
weight, but it will stop us from being accused of wilful infringement
should the shit ever hit the proverbial fan.
