Same problem here for a long time. Last successful mail was:
Apr 11 13:03:31 B205a sendmail[21923]: g3BB10921920:
to=jdorje@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, ctladdr=hawk (500/100), delay=00:02:31,
xdelay=00:02:29, mailer=esmtp, pri=101314, relay=mail.sourceforge.net.
[216.136.171.198], dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent (OK id=16vcMS-0004o4-00)
Since then I get these:
----- Transcript of session follows -----
... while talking to mail.sourceforge.net.:
>>> MAIL From:<hawk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> SIZE=18911
<<< 451-Envelope sender verification failed
<<< 451 rejected: temporarily unable to verify envelope sender address (try
again later) <hawk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

jdorje@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx... Deferred: 451-Sender verify callout did not
complete
I have no idea what is causing this but you are the only one I have
problems with (read you are the only one with a users.sourceforge.net
account). I changed my "From: " from
From: Raimar Falke <hawk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
to
From: Raimar Falke <rf13@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
but this didn't solve it. Please use rfalke@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or
mchawk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or raimar@xxxxxxxxxxx or
rfalke@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

"I do feel kind of sorry for Microsoft. Their attornies and marketing
force must have tons of ulcers trying to figure out how to beat (not
just co-exist with) a product that has no clearly defined (read
suable) human owner, and that changes on an hourly basis like the
sea changes the layout of the sand on a beach. Severely tough to
fight something like that."
