[Freeciv-Dev] make tags not working ?

Hi.
I've used etags for freeciv-code for while. It has worked perfectly. Now I
noticed that Makefile has tags-rule, that creates recursively TAGS-files
for each directory. I tried it, but I can't get it to work with my XEmacs
21.4.
When I type M-. Xemacs reports "Bad TAGS file". Has anyone encountered
same problem ? It is possible that this has something to do with Xemacs
settings, but any help is appreciated...
