[Freeciv-Dev] 1.12.0 client problems

Hi,
I downloaded 1.12.0 and installed it.
On starting the client I got a message that the game version did not match 
the resource version, and that I might have an old resource file in 
/usr/lib/X11/app-defaults.  I deleted the file, and when trying to start the 
client again, got

2: Using fallback resources - which is OK

The client started, but looked like a *very* old version with no isometric 
view.
I already recompiled - results were the same.
