Thanks - fixed. See, fixes are trivial when reproducible, no?
I am not quite sure why you got that assertion failure, when I try temp.2.gz
I get a segmentation fault. I will just assume it is some kind of followup
problem. (Or wait for someone to report a seperate bug.)
