I am trying to install Freeciv on my system, I am running debian
2.1..
The error that I get is the one that is listed in the FAQ
of the freeciv webpage, but the suggested fix does not work
the error that I get is
#As reported with Debian 2.1:
#

#

I tried the following fix, ie. to install xaw3dg, but this
did not remedy my problem. It still gives the same
error.
# This is, again, an Xaw/Xaw3d confusion problem. In this particular
#case, the Debian xaw3dg package is not installed on the system.
#
I also tried the following fix.
# One source of confusion is the Freeciv ./configure process, which
#does not support all the --with-X and --without-X that you might expect.
#To explicitly compile against plain Xaw
# instead of Xaw3d, use
./configure --enable-client=xaw [...]
It compiles but when I run civ, it gives a segmentation fault
and dies.
Do you have any suggestions???
