I had a patch submitted for this and similar emergency stuff long time ago,
but it was rejected by John because it broke the hard-won acuteness of the
AI.
I really did some thinking to keep in the spirit, but somehow no third party
took
the judges seat .. .

Maybe it can be dug up somewhere. I'll look, too.
